About Us OCC Missions
All ministries begin with a single step of faith. That step may simply be talking to your neighbor and sharing your faith, or it may lead you on a journey a thousand miles away to share Christ with people in a land far removed from your cultural background. Yet it all begins with a single step.
However, taking that first step of faith can involve uncertainty. What if it’s the wrong path? What if I slip? What—or who—will I find at the end? This is where the OCC Missions Ministry comes in to support, encourage and discover new ways to share the love of God with others locally and around the globe through long and short term missions trips, and service opportunities.
At OCC we not only believe that missions begins at our front door but that it goes beyond our communities to have a global impact for Christ. At OCC we believe strongly in the command of Jesus found in Matthew 28:19-20 NIV "(19)Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20)and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
We not only want to make disciples for Jesus in our community but we also want to reach out globally to impact our world with Gospel. Remember all it takes is a single step to make a difference that can reach around the world.
